The first weekend in October brought a fun filled trip to Chicago and Lake Forest.
It was just me and Tyson as it was right around our birthdays.

A visit to the Lego store where Tyson made very good use of some birthday money from Auntie Gina and Grandma Toni. The Chicago skyline and even the background picture was all legos.

The amazing view from our hotel window.

The main reason for the trip was to visit Lake Forest College. My volleyball coach was being inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Here we are with some of my old teammates who I haven't seen in over ten years. It was so much fun catching up.

It was really fun showing Tyson where mommy went to college. He had a lot of fun just running around campus.

One of my favorite buildings on campus. The Lilly Reid Hold circa 1899.

On the beach in Lake Forest. Lake Michigan in the background. Tyson said, "well, now I know why the call it the great lakes".

A trip to Chicago isn't complete without a visit to Gino's East for deep dish pizza and of course, signing your name. Tyson felt he needed to represent his brother too.

The Shedd Aquarium was also a highlight.
